Once that is done you should be free to go on Win 10!!!! Now, Download Games for Windows live and set it up. ALSO MAKE SURE "Run as administrator" is checked!!!!!. Run it in Compatibility for Windows XP service pack 3. Right click both of these and go to compatibility. (Only XP will work.) Go to Properties>Browse Local Files then find Fallout.exe and FalloutLauncher. Originally posted by Richard the Lionheart:Okay, so what i did exactly: First you have to Change it to compatibility mode for windows XP service pack 3. At this point im really close to just getting a refund because this is way too much trouble for something steam is selling knowing full well it's completely broken. I'm on windows 10 btw, which is what I originally thought was the problem. So if anyone knows what files to select or what the hell I did wrong then by all means let me know, I just want to play FO3, I loved NV so I think I would have like this one as well. I'm getting really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off that steam would even sell FO3 in this state without fixing it, and it's so damn popular I was shocked it even had these problems for EVERY single person who bought it. then I get the message, " Cannot find your FALLOUT.INI! This usually means you haven't run Fallout 3 yet, please do so now before running Games for Windows Live Disabler again." The only problem with this allogation is. I immediatley get, "Cannot detect your My Documents folder! Please select it" so I try and select all the files I can think that would apply to this, since there is no "My Documents" folder anymore. I got the disabler, extracted the program, and did everything I was supposed to, but then I got what seems to be a very common problem that no one seems to have an answer to on the forums. So I got Fallout 3 GOTY edition and have been all over the internet trying to find a fix to the problem it has with G4WL.
